ocfs2: adjust ocfs2_xa_remove_entry() to match UBSAN boundary checks
...
After introducing 2f26f58df0 ("ocfs2: annotate flexible array members
with __counted_by_le()"), syzbot has reported the following issue:
UBSAN: array-index-out-of-bounds in fs/ocfs2/xattr.c:1955:3
index 2 is out of range for type 'struct ocfs2_xattr_entry[]
__counted_by(xh_count)' (aka 'struct ocfs2_xattr_entry[]')
...
Call Trace:

To address this issue, 'xh_entries[]' member removal should be performed
before actually changing 'xh_count', thus making sure that all array
accesses matches the boundary checks performed by UBSAN.

Since 'snprintf()' returns the number of characters which would
be emitted and output truncation is handled by 'ASSERT()', it
should be safe to use that return value instead of the subsequent
calls to 'strlen()' in 'gen_unique_name()'.
This also reduces the module's text size.

console may trigger the following:

In 'lookup_or_create_module_kobject()', an internal kobject is created
using 'module_ktype'. So call to 'kobject_put()' on error handling
path causes an attempt to use an uninitialized completion pointer in

unloading process, so adding an extra check whether 'complete()' is

This happens when 'clear_inode()' makes an attempt to finalize an underlying
JFS inode of unknown type. According to JFS layout description from
https://jfs.sourceforge.net/project/pub/jfslayout.pdf , inode types from 5 to
15 are reserved for future extensions and should not be encountered on a valid
filesystem. So add an extra check for valid inode type in 'copy_from_dinode()'.

When 'ioctl(OCFS2_IOC_GROUP_ADD, ...)' has failed for the particular
inode in 'ocfs2_verify_group_and_input()', corresponding buffer head
remains cached and subsequent call to the same 'ioctl()' for the same
inode issues the BUG() in 'ocfs2_set_new_buffer_uptodate()' (trying
to cache the same buffer head of that inode). Fix this by uncaching
the buffer head with 'ocfs2_remove_from_cache()' on error path in
'ocfs2_group_add()'.

In 'hci_conn_del_sysfs()', 'device_unregister()' may be called when
an underlying (kobject) reference counter is greater than 1. This
means that reparenting (happened when the device is actually freed)
is delayed and, during that delay, parent controller device (hciX)
may be deleted. Since the latter may create a dangling pointer to
freed parent, avoid that scenario by reparenting to NULL explicitly.

net: sched: fix use-after-free in taprio_change()
...
In 'taprio_change()', 'admin' pointer may become dangling due to sched
switch / removal caused by 'advance_sched()', and critical section
protected by 'q->current_entry_lock' is too small to prevent from such
a scenario (which causes use-after-free detected by KASAN). Fix this
by prefer 'rcu_replace_pointer()' over 'rcu_assign_pointer()' to update
'admin' immediately before an attempt to schedule freeing.

net: smc: fix spurious error message from __sock_release()
...
Commit 67f562e3e1 ("net/smc: transfer fasync_list in case of fallback")
leaves the socket's fasync list pointer within a container socket as well.
When the latter is destroyed, '__sock_release()' warns about its non-empty
fasync list, which is a dangling pointer to previously freed fasync list
of an underlying TCP socket. Fix this spurious warning by nullifying
fasync list of a container socket.

In 'fasync_remove_entry()', prefer 'kfree_rcu()' over 'call_rcu()' with dummy

Ever since ae65a5211d ("mm/slab: document kfree() as allowed for
kmem_cache_alloc() objects") kfree() can be used for both kmalloc() and
kmem_cache_alloc() so this is no safe.
Do not backport this to stable, please.

block: bio-integrity: fix kcalloc() arguments order
...
When compiling with gcc version 14.0.1 20240116 (experimental)
and W=1, I've noticed the following warning:
block/bio-integrity.c: In function 'bio_integrity_map_user':
block/bio-integrity.c:339:38: warning: 'kcalloc' sizes specified with 'sizeof'
in the earlier argument and not in the later argument [-Wcalloc-transposed-args]
339 | bvec = kcalloc(sizeof(*bvec), nr_vecs, GFP_KERNEL);
| ^
block/bio-integrity.c:339:38: note: earlier argument should specify number of
elements, later size of each element
Since 'n' and 'size' arguments of 'kcalloc()' are multiplied to
calculate the final size, their actual order doesn't affect the
result and so this is not a bug. But it's still worth to fix it.
