14ffde0e96 parse-events: Handle opcode parsing error
If an invalid opcode is encountered in parsing event print format, the
trace-cmd calls exit() without parsing any other events.

This patch adds handling for such an error where the get_op_prio() is
called. If the return value is -1, then the event print format parsing
is skipped and parsing continues.

d69afed55b parse-events: Handle invalid opcode parsing gracefully
If an invalid opcode is encountered, trace-cmd exits with an error.
Instead it can be treated as a soft error where the event's print format
is not parsed and its binary data is dumped out.

This patch adds a return value to arg_num_eval() function to indicate if
the parsing was successful. If not, then the error is considered soft
and the parsing of the offending event fails.

aaf045f723 perf: Have perf use the new libtraceevent.a library
The event parsing code in perf was originally copied from trace-cmd
but never was kept up-to-date with the changes that was done there.
The trace-cmd libtraceevent.a code is much more mature than what is
currently in perf.

This updates the code to use wrappers to handle the calls to the
new event parsing code. The new code requires a handle to be pass
around, which removes the global event variables and allows
more than one event structure to be read from different files
(and different machines).

But perf still has the old global events and the code throughout
perf does not yet have a nice way to pass around a handle.
A global 'pevent' has been made for perf and the old calls have
been created as wrappers to the new event parsing code that uses
the global pevent.

With this change, perf can later incorporate the pevent handle into
the perf structures and allow more than one file to be read and
compared, that contains different events.

668fe01f1c events: Update tools/lib/traceevent to work with perf
Some of the util functions of libtraceevent.a conflict with perf,
such as die(), warning() and others. Move them into event-util.h
that is not included by the perf tools.

Also, as perf compiles with 'bool' the filter_arg->bool needs to
be renamed to filter_arg->boolean.

We were using ins_ops->target for callq addresses and jump offsets,
disambiguate by having ins_ops->target.addr and ins_ops->target.offset.

For jumps we'll need both to fixup lines that don't have an offset on
the <> part.

Really strange, the code assumed that at the jump target we would have

72b3fb2471 x86/nmi: Fix page faults by nmiaction if kmemcheck is enabled
This patch tries to fix the problem of page fault exception
caused by accessing nmiaction structure in nmi if kmemcheck
is enabled.

If kmemcheck is enabled, the memory allocated through slab are
in pages that are marked non-present, so that some checks could
be done in the page fault handling code ( e.g. whether the
memory is read before written to ).

As nmiaction is allocated in this way, so it resides in a
non-present page. Then there is a page fault while the nmi code
accessing the nmiaction structure, which would then cause a
warning by WARN_ON_ONCE(in_nmi()) in kmemcheck_fault(), called
by do_page_fault().

This significantly simplifies the code as well, as the whole
dynamic allocation dance goes away.

v2: as Peter suggested, changed the nmiaction to use static
    storage.

v3: as Peter suggested, use macro to shorten the codes. Also
    keep the original usage of register_nmi_handler, so users of
    this call doesn't need change.

553222f3e8 x86/nmi: Add new NMI queues to deal with IO_CHK and SERR
In discussions with Thomas Mingarelli about hpwdt, he explained
to me some issues they were some when using their virtual NMI
button to test the hpwdt driver.

It turns out the virtual NMI button used on HP's machines do no
send unknown NMIs but instead send IO_CHK NMIs.  The way the
kernel code is written, the hpwdt driver can not register itself
against that type of NMI and therefore can not successfully
capture system information before panic'ing.

To solve this I created two new NMI queues to allow driver to
register against the IO_CHK and SERR NMIs.  Or in the hpwdt all
three (if you include unknown NMIs too).

The change is straightforward and just mimics what the unknown
NMI does.

09ee101436 watchdog, hpwdt: Remove priority option for NMI callback
The NMI_UNKNOWN bucket only allows for one function to register
to it. The reason for that is because only functions which can
not determine if the NMI belongs to them or not should register
and would like to assume/swallow any NMI they see.

As a result it doesn't make sense to let more than one function
like this register.  In fact, letting a second function fail
allows us to know that more than one function is going to
swallow NMIs on the current system. This is better than silently
being ignored.

Therefore hpwdt's priority mechanism doesn't make sense any
more.  They will be always first on the NMI_UNKNOWN queue, if
they register.

Removing this parameter cleans up the code and simplifies things
for the next patch which changes how nmis are registered.

bf76e062c1 ARM: ux500: Enable the SMSC9115 on Snowball via Device Tree
Here we split the description of the external-bus@50000000 over
two description files. In the more generic db8500 description file
we only specify the external-bus. Normally this would be used to
communicate with a NOR-flash device. On the Snowball however, the
SMSC9115 Ethernet chip occupies it. In the Snowball board specific
description file is where we actually specify that it is in fact the
Ethernet device which lives here.

625056b65e hung task debugging: Inject NMI when hung and going to panic
Send an NMI to all CPUs when a hung task is detected and the hung
task code is configured to panic. This gives us a fairly uptodate
snapshot of all CPUs in the system.

This lets us get stack trace of all CPUs which makes life easier
trying to debug a deadlock, and the NMI doesn't change anything
since the next step is a kernel panic.

f7d82350e5 tools/events: Add files to create libtraceevent.a
Copy over the files from trace-cmd to the Linux tools directory
such that applications like perf and latencytrace can use the
more advanced parsing code.

Because some of the file names of perf conflict with trace-cmd file
names, the trace-cmd files have been renamed as follows:

 parse-events.c ==> event-parse.c
 parse-events.h ==> event-parse.h
 utils.h        ==> event-utils.h

The files have been updated to handle the changes to the header files
but other than that, they are identical to what was in the trace-cmd
repository. The history of these files, including authorship is
available at the git repo:

 git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rostedt/trace-cmd.git

The Makefile was also copied over, but most of it was removed to
focus on the parse-events code first. The parts of the Makefile for
the plugins have also been removed, but will be added back when the
plugin code is copied over as well. But that may be in its own
separate directory.

4ace73eef5 perf: Separate out trace-cmd parse-events from perf files
Move the trace-event-parse.c code that originally came from trace-cmd into
their own files. The new file will be called trace-parse-events.c, as
the name of trace-cmd's file was parse-events.c too, but it conflicted
with the parse-events.c file in perf that parses the command line.

This tries to update the code with mimimal changes.

Perf specific code stays in the trace-event-parse.[ch] files and
the common parsing code is now in trace-parse-events.c and
trace-parse-events.h.

05ba1f0823 fuse: add FALLOCATE operation
fallocate filesystem operation preallocates media space for the given file.
If fallocate returns success then any subsequent write to the given range

a3a53fe154 ASoC: bf5xx-ssm2602: Set DAI format
Commit 980b0bc69 ("ASoC: blackfin: Use dai_fmt") converted the blackfin ASoC
machine drivers to use the dai_links dai_fmt field to setup their DAI format.
For the bf5xx-ssm2602 the commit removed the manual call to snd_soc_dai_set_fmt,
but missed to set the dai_links dai_fmt field.

88c08a3fba dmaengine/amba-pl08x : reset phychan_hold on terminate all
When a client calls pl08x_control with DMA_TERMINATE_ALL, it is correct
to terminate and release the phy channel currently in use (if one is in use),
but the phychan_hold counter must also be reset (otherwise it could get
trapped in an unbalanced state).

8f9b9a2fad ipvs: fix crash in ip_vs_control_net_cleanup on unload
commit 14e405461e (2.6.39)
("Add __ip_vs_control_{init,cleanup}_sysctl()")
introduced regression due to wrong __net_init for
__ip_vs_control_cleanup_sysctl. This leads to crash when
the ip_vs module is unloaded.

	Fix it by changing __net_init to __net_exit for
the function that is already renamed to ip_vs_control_net_cleanup_sysctl.

17c201b328 [SCSI] bfa: Fix to defer vport delete handler invocation till firmware logo response.
Made changes to avoid queuing the vport delete work to IM driver
work queue in the bfa_fcb_lport_delete() - since at this stage we
are not completely done with using the vport structure as we are
still waiting for the LOGO response from the fw in online state or
just doing some cleanup. Since queuing up the vport delete work at
this stage will result in the FC transport layer to clean up the vport
before we get the response from firmware.
Made changes to queue the port delete work to the IM driver work queue -
from the bfa_fcs_vport_free() function since at this state we are done
with using the vport data structure and the FCS state machine is completely
cleaned up.

42e22cac4e [SCSI] storvsc: Properly handle errors from the host
Hyper-V cannot process some commands like ATA_12 and ATA_16. It also returns a
very generic error when this happens (SRB_STATUS_ERROR).  Most of the time we
treat SRB_STATUS_ERROR as DID_TARGET_FAILURE which causes error handler retry,
but in the case of pass through commands, they'll never succeed (and the error
handler will offline the device), so put a discriminating block in the command
completion routing and send the SRB_STATUS_ERROR upwards with DID_PASSTHROUGH
for commands we know should not be retried.

If FLL bypass is left enabled when we disable the CODEC then the output

9728d8d035 [SCSI] be2iscsi: Check ASYNC PDU Handle corresponds to HDR/DATA Handle
For each ASYNC PDU received there is an HDR and DATA handle for it.
There will be only 1 HDR ASYNC Handle, but DATA Handle can be more
than 1 for each ASYNC PDU received. Checking if the ASYNC Handle
correspongs to HDR or DATA while returning the Handle to the free list.
hwi_free_async_msg just return the handles to the free list. No return
values are needed so changing the return type to void.
