Christoph Hellwig 1122c0c1cc block: move cache control settings out of queue->flags
Move the cache control settings into the queue_limits so that the flags
can be set atomically with the device queue frozen.

Add new features and flags field for the driver set flags, and internal
(usually sysfs-controlled) flags in the block layer. Note that we'll
eventually remove enough field from queue_limits to bring it back to the
previous size.

The disable flag is inverted compared to the previous meaning, which
means it now survives a rescan, similar to the max_sectors and
max_discard_sectors user limits.

The FLUSH and FUA flags are now inherited by blk_stack_limits, which
simplified the code in dm a lot, but also causes a slight behavior
change in that dm-switch and dm-unstripe now advertise a write cache
despite setting num_flush_bios to 0. The I/O path will handle this
gracefully, but as far as I can tell the lack of num_flush_bios
and thus flush support is a pre-existing data integrity bug in those
targets that really needs fixing, after which a non-zero num_flush_bios
should be required in dm for targets that map to underlying devices.

Christoph Hellwig c6e56cf6b2 block: move integrity information into queue_limits
Move the integrity information into the queue limits so that it can be
set atomically with other queue limits, and that the sysfs changes to
the read_verify and write_generate flags are properly synchronized.
This also allows to provide a more useful helper to stack the integrity
fields, although it still is separate from the main stacking function
as not all stackable devices want to inherit the integrity settings.
Even with that it greatly simplifies the code in md and dm.

Note that the integrity field is moved as-is into the queue limits.
While there are good arguments for removing the separate blk_integrity
structure, this would cause a lot of churn and might better be done at a
later time if desired. However the integrity field in the queue_limits
structure is now unconditional so that various ifdefs can be avoided or
replaced with IS_ENABLED(). Given that tiny size of it that seems like
a worthwhile trade off.

Ming Lei 4093cb5a06 ublk_drv: add mechanism for supporting unprivileged ublk device
unprivileged ublk device is helpful for container use case, such
as: ublk device created in one unprivileged container can be controlled
and accessed by this container only.

Implement this feature by adding flag of UBLK_F_UNPRIVILEGED_DEV, and if
this flag isn't set, any control command has been run from privileged
user. Otherwise, any control command can be sent from any unprivileged
user, but the user has to be permitted to access the ublk char device
to be controlled.

In case of UBLK_F_UNPRIVILEGED_DEV:

1) for command UBLK_CMD_ADD_DEV, it is always allowed, and user needs
to provide owner's uid/gid in this command, so that udev can set correct
ownership for the created ublk device, since the device owner uid/gid
can be queried via command of UBLK_CMD_GET_DEV_INFO.

2) for other control commands, they can only be run successfully if the
current user is allowed to access the specified ublk char device, for
running the permission check, path of the ublk char device has to be
provided by these commands.

Also add one control of command UBLK_CMD_GET_DEV_INFO2 which always
include the char dev path in payload since userspace may not have
knowledge if this device is created in unprivileged mode.

For applying this mechanism, system administrator needs to take
the following policies:

1) chmod 0666 /dev/ublk-control

2) change ownership of ublkcN & ublkbN
- chown owner_uid:owner_gid /dev/ublkcN
- chown owner_uid:owner_gid /dev/ublkbN

Both can be done via one simple udev rule.

Userspace:

	https://github.com/ming1/ubdsrv/tree/unprivileged-ublk

'ublk add -t $TYPE --un_privileged=1' is for creating one un-privileged
ublk device if the user is un-privileged.

Eric Biggers b1141ec4dc ANDROID: update "block: add basic hardware-wrapped key support" to v7
The hardware-wrapped key support in this branch is based on my patch
"[RFC PATCH v3 1/3] block: add basic hardware-wrapped key support"
I've since made several updates to that patch and it is now at v7.

This commit brings in the updates from v3 to v7. The main change is
making blk_crypto_derive_sw_secret() operate on a struct block_device,
and adding blk_crypto_hw_wrapped_keys_compatible(). This aligns with
changes upstream in v6.1 and v6.2 that removed block-layer internal
structures from the API that blk-crypto exposes to upper layers.
There's also a slight change in prototype for ->derive_sw_secret, so a
couple out-of-tree drivers will need to be updated, but people
maintaining out-of-tree drivers know what they are dealing with anyway.

Since commit 7eaceaccab ("block: remove per-queue plugging"), kernel
has removed blk_run_address_space(), blk_unplug() and sync_buffer(),

years.
Given that there is no obvious counterparts in the new mechinism to

Eric Biggers c26f08d1d4 ANDROID: block: add basic hardware-wrapped key support
To prevent keys from being compromised if an attacker acquires read
access to kernel memory, some inline encryption hardware can accept keys
which are wrapped by a per-boot hardware-internal key. This avoids
needing to keep the plaintext keys in kernel memory, without restricting
the number of keys that can be used. Such keys can be initially
generated either by software (in which case they must be imported to
hardware to be wrapped) or directly by the hardware. There is also a
mechanism to derive a "software secret" for cryptographic tasks that
can't be handled by inline encryption.

To support this hardware, allow struct blk_crypto_key to represent a
hardware-wrapped key as an alternative to a standard key, and make
drivers set flags in struct blk_crypto_profile to indicate which types
of keys they support. Also add the derive_sw_secret() low-level
operation, which drivers supporting wrapped keys must implement.

For more information, see the detailed documentation which this patch
adds to Documentation/block/inline-encryption.rst.

This is a reworked version of a patch which was temporily reverted by
https://android-review.googlesource.com/c/kernel/common/+/1867367, and
which originated from several ANDROID patches that were consolidated by
https://android-review.googlesource.com/c/kernel/common-patches/+/1350782.
This version of the patch matches the patch in the below "Link:" tag
that was sent upstream as an RFC. However, due to its history as
ANDROID, it remains tagged as ANDROID rather than FROMLIST.

Eric Biggers abb861fac0 fscrypt: improve documentation for inline encryption
Currently the fscrypt inline encryption support is documented in the
"Implementation details" section, and it doesn't go into much detail.
It's really more than just an "implementation detail" though, as there
is a user-facing mount option. Also, hardware-wrapped key support (an
upcoming feature) will depend on inline encryption and will affect the
on-disk format; by definition that's not just an implementation detail.

Therefore, move this documentation into its own section and expand it.
